FEMFIGHT EUROPE.

Last Friday April 1st saw unbelievable happenings for fans in Berlin,800 of them expecting to see Rola el Halabi box.Shortly before she was due to fight they were evacuated from the venue when her step father and former manager shot her in the hand knee and foot,also shooting two security guards.All are recovering in hospital,but there is some doubt as to Rola being able to continue her career.

When you see these two girls square off first impressions are that this is not the usual sporting contest,the tentative way they approach the first hold suggest there could be a little history between the pair.A shame really as it tends to spoil things.

One for fans in Europe,in particular the UK.I am told that the 16th of April is the date for London Wrestling Studios latest event at their home in Hackney Wick,East London.Full details can be obtained from their own website,including transport links and even local eating houses in the proximity(a nice thought).The price for the event is I believe £50 in advance and £55 on the day.I have to admit that I have never been to the LWS so have no idea as to the quality of their events,possibly one of our friends in the London area will be able to enlighten us.

Governments all over the world spend a fortune trying to persuade people to give up smoking.I wondered if they would have more joy were they to use this fight as a promo for the cause.The dark haired girl is clearly affected by difficulty getting her breath and despite coming back for a second try as to give in. Take the advice girl,give up the weed!!!

My thoughts on this bout were that neither girl is a pro fighter and the fight was taken to the cage after a major fallout.Encouraged by friends whoo seemed to have a blood lust they fought almost to a standstill.One can only imagine the bruised and bloodied faces afterwards.

Not too long now before those warmer days and nights when you can enjoy a beer outside and the girls put on the gloves and provide the entertainment for the guys.
