EVER WONDERED?

Image
How would the girls from Camp Amazon have competed in today's world? One who would doubtless have done well would have been Karen Arnold.

LET'S TRY AGAIN.

Sorry but I can't resist these brain teasers. What year do you think this was filmed? I must admit to being clueless, though a friend of mine suggested a study of one girls hair would be a good guide. I tried but the only thing that came to mind was"surely you didn't pay someone for that look!".

FOR MY FRIENDS IN OZ!!!!

Sorry but I had to put this up.I wonder if the little girl from Norwich can play cricket?

IS THIS PROGRESS?

I did wonder if the Tough Woman Contests were still going on and then I found this. Surely this isn't progress, for all the world this reminded me of the male version of this kind of event and that massive tub of lard, what was the name?Butterbean?

A LESSON LEARNED?

Someone really should have told her if you're going to have a fight, wear a bra that will stay in place.

TONIGHT!!!

The Brandenburg Halle,Frankfurt sees two womens champions in action. Christina Hammer defends her middleweight title against Mexico's Carmen Garcia, who is in her first attempt at a world title. Possibly the better fight sees a rematch with Ramona Kuhne and Hungarian Renata Donasadi who gave Ramona a good scrap before losing on a badly cut eye in their last bout.

LOVE THE GLOVES.

I must admit that the German Mat Club/Beka Film was ahead of it's time with the pink boxing gloves and for me the Addidas trunks always looked the part.

SOME EPIC CLASHES.

Fans of boxing will regard this as a couple of hours well spent a reminder of bouts from the past, some featuring girls who have been long forgotten and others with girls who are often regarded as stars to this day.

WHY WORRY?

Take two lovely girls, engage in hot combat and they start to sweat. So why bother with the one piece suits when the sweat lets the odd breast appear anyway?

Fans of a certain age may recall these events. It's interesting that they only seemed to take off in the States. Some fans in the U.K.may recall that around the same time Amazons in Action Reported on an attempt to stage something similar here which turned out to be just a vehicle for a few girls from the pro wrestling curcuit to mess with an odd amateur who really wasn't up to much.

PAINFUL.

Savage breast treatment,or more fantasy than reality.

ENTERTAINMENT 80's STYLE.

In many ways things have moved on and while there may not be as many bare breasts on show the girls do put on a fight.

DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER?

Is it a thing with the media that female fighters in particular boxers seem to have the lesbian label attached to them.   This was pointed out by a fan in Germany who was talking about Regina Halmich now retired from the ring and becoming a success in a number of other fields. All the recent photos in celebrity mags seem to show her with another woman suggesting that she could possibly be from the planet Lesbos. I hope someone can correct me if I am wrong but I seem to recall a press report of her being divorced some time back.

GUESS THE YEAR.

I could be wrong but this looks like it was taken from a super 8 film transfer to video. That's definitely a very young looking Tina and where did Jeff get that hat?Perhaps someone should have explained to him,the chances of getting skin cancer inside are extremely slim.

SUMMER IN EASTERN EUROPE.

A lovely sunny day, just right for a picnic.Or possibly a spot of girl fighting.

WOULD THEY???

Whenever I am tempted to watch tv wrestling I rerun this bout and ask myself how many of todays posers and silicone sisters would take a bout(fight)like this? Debra"Madusa"Miceli I believe retired back around 2001 and I don't doubt she can still feel the bruises to this day. Her opponent Aja Kong started in the business as a 16 year old and is believed to be still competing to this day. I often wonder did either girl take part in a bout like this again?

THE MAIN EVENT!!!

I have often wondered was this film the first to use wrestling women as it's main story line. There have been many films over the years which featured mud wrestling in clubs, catfights and any number of variations on the amazon and jungle themes, but not too many based on women wrestlers.

INTERESTING.

There are some things that because you live so close to them you don't notice. I was reminded of this when talking politics on the phone with my friends in Germany they mentioned that while they were in Scotland recently they learned that the leader of the Scots Conservatives Ruth Davidson was not only a lesbian, but also a kick boxer. With little knowledge of politics in the U.K.they wondered what would most hold her back when looking for votes in Scotland?I would hazard a guess at being a Tory!!!
