Where did it start? The man behind the girls was Ron Farrar a former journalist whose wife Marie was to become Sue Brittain, reputedly the lady who got the GLC to lift their ban on female wrestling in London and also the first to take part in a contest there since 1931.Unlike it's main rival of the time from Merseyside its main attraction was the girls.Where Brian Dixon used many of the male stars who had appeared on tv with Joint Promotions Ron and his wife used lesser names from the male world and quite often smaller halls, holiday camps and gala days for their promotions, which from their perspective were more cost effective.Although they didn't have the glamour of Brian Dixons wife Mitzi their bouts had far more realism.
