FEMFIGHT EUROPE.

There's got to be somone out there who can come up with original names,or maybe the girls could be tempted to use their birth names. Why you may ask??The answer lies in arenas around the world,this bout is I believe in Paris France and features Kim Berley and Sally Diamond a slight variation on names being used in the U.S.by girls bearing no resemblance to these two.

The Private Collection was a spin off from Festelle Video that I always felt was trying to present it's girls as sports women as opposed to being sexy topless wrestlers.So this bout seems a little out of context with many of their other efforts,with the girls involved almost play fighting with sexual overtones.

Fans in Europe the 1st of December sees a welcome return to the ring of Susi Kentikian in ten round bout against Carina Mareno for the WBA Flyweight Title.

I mentioned a short time back how womens pro boxing had featured in Dublin a short while back.An event missed by many fans across Europe was Celtic Gladiator at the Heritage Hotel,Port Laoise on June 11th 2011,where local girl Rachel Ryan took on mum of two Celine Mc Gee from Donegal in the cage. Rarely if ever will you see two girls give and take so much punishment!!!

Often fans of female combat believe they are in a vast minority and that few people in mainstream entertainment share their interest. One person who not only shared but promoted that interest was the film director/producer Terence Young. Many younger fans will probably be thinking who?Without realising it they possibly gained their first interest through some of his work. Why?Well many fans of all ages have to admit their first real insight into the world female fight was aroused by the gypsy fight in the Bond Film From Russia With Love. Many of the films that he worked on featured girl fights but one,if not the first was where this short clip comes from.I can't recall its full title but it was also known as"The Poppy is also a Flower". If anyone as a list of the films he worked on  I am sure many fans would love to see it.

I was starting to think the girls bouts at the Bare Knuckle Saloon had ceased happening,so I was pleased to see this more recent event.The blurb with it suggest one girl took a beating.Not strictly true,but she did lose a contact lens and bravely fought on.
