This must almost have been a first in the UK,a bare knuckle bout for the girls rather surprisingly taking place in the Colne Municipal Hall with Ella Mac,really Ella Wilkinson from just down the road in Padiham on her debut giving the vastly experienced Sara Smith. Be interesting to keep a track on this out fit as their next event I believe is due at the same venue on the 9th of September and will Ella be there to defend her Featherweight Belt??

This may interest people who recall the days when World of Sport dropped wrestling from it's tv schedule.For viewers in the UK there were few alternatives unless you were on the Welsh borders and could get Reslo from the Welsh language channel you had few options apart from the live shows. Around this time the first of the Satellite Channels were launching and lucky viewers could bring in Euro Sport which featured many of the favourites of the time including the girls as seen here the very young looking Klondyke Kate against the lovely Gaby Lailee from France.
