Boxing over the years as often been accused of"the homer"the fight where a girl fighting on her opponents home ground will never win. This from Germany the other day must ranks as one of the worst examples. After a few rounds of what would almost rank as wrestling Anne Sophie Mathis produced a combination that sent Christina Hammer to the mat,only to be disqualified for a foul punch. Days later the bout is declared no contest. As anyone seen worse?Even my friends in Germany were unable to spot the foul.

+ Opinion in recent times qas been that the "Killer Queen"Susi Kentikian would replace Miss Halmich in the hearts of boxing fans,but in recent times little as been seen of her,so a reminder of just how good Regina was is timely. This bout is from September 2006 from the Borderland Halle,Magdeburg Ria Ramnarine was the opponent who put up a brave show when considering she was stepping up a weight having normally fought at Minimum Weight.
