My thanks to Nadine for this bout last year in Germany, once again she asks the question what is a 43 year old Hungarian woman with little experience doing in the same ring as a 25 years old more than able Swedish blonde?
Two provisional dates for fans in Europe Sarah Louise Peters is lined up to fight unknown opponents on the 30th of May and the 18th of July at Universal Hall,Mitte,Berlin. According to our friend Nadine in Germany Miss Peters is another of those mysterys that appear in the German ring from time to time. She as managed five wins from five bouts dating back to 2011,rather strange for a fighter who is already 32 years old.
I know many fans often wonder how girls from different outfits would measure up if matched against eachother. Good to see then the Danube girls matched against Germany's AS girls.Be interesting to know how many bouts there were in the series.Anyone know?
My husband was excited by the early part of this bout where punches were freely exchanged, though he felt Miss Zulj's corner threw in the towel rather early, though she didn't protest and looked more exhausted than hurt. Thanks.... Nadine.
We all know how bikers like to see their babes fight, but what the attraction of Coleslaw wrestling is I can't imagine. But year in year out it seems to pull the crowds as just one of the events at the Cabbage Patch Bar.
This Saturday gone by we spent a day out in Karlsruhe, since the days of Regina Halmich almost the spiritual home of womens boxing. This in mind we spent the evening at the Europahalle to see Sweden's muscular Maria Lindgberg destroy the young Edita Lesnik from Bosnia. This recording of the bout gives a good idea of the punching power of Miss Lindberg, the punches could be heard connecting from a way back in the hall. Love...Nadine.
Nadine's thoughts on the force of many girls punches made her run through a few past bouts in Europe and one of the girls to qualify is Russian born, now a Hamburg resident Natalia Smirnova. Last time out she destroyed the game youn Hungarian Veronika Hornyak who's career seems to have gone downhill since having been stopped five times and still only twenty years old. At the other end of the scale Miss Smitnova at thirty seven goes in against 41 years old Yarkor Chavez Annan from Ghana who started out with a good record in her homeland, but as since been well beaten in the U.K.and Australia. Just makes you think Russia was the only place willing to stage such a potential miss match.
Younger fans will possibly be surprised that in 70's Germany these girls could pack out the beer halls with crowds that often numbered over a thousand. 70's by babybuzz
When I first saw this I did wonder how many coloured girls appeared for California Supreme? It may be me but I can't recall too many. CS_89_5 by lovemuscle2010
I would doubt any of the girls were christened Axa but it seems a popular name around the curcuit at the moment,I can think of at least three different girls using it presently. Where did it come from? Our friend in Germany came up with one interesting answer. When she started out one of the girls she wrestled a few times was from the West Indies and when going for a submission would often be heard to shout"ask her ref"but the way it came out was"axa ref". As a result promoters in Germany often billed her as Axa!!!
Some fans asked where is that farm? Why?They see it as good way to spend a nice sunny day and all live in the North West of England. Sorry but I can't answer that one and can only suggest they contact Simone direct.Who knows they may just get an invite.
One of the fans who recently was in contact related that his wife felt she couldn't fulfill his wish to see her wrestle because she was too old. This should go a way to proving her wrong from Models Wrestling 19 years old Hana in a bout with her 51 years old mother Marie Clare. If there is a better advert for the game I haven't seen it.
I mentioned before that the lovely Danni was to say the least a little volatile and this was one of the bouts in question where the red mist came down.
Despite the fact that boxing in general is frowned on by many, the number of charities that have caught on to womens bouts being a good fund raiser is many. If anything this event looks a little over subscribed, that is if you were one of those jobs worths from health and safety.
I could be wrong but Fighting Style seem to have been noticable by their absence of late. Possibly the economic climate in Greece as a lot to do with this,as Germany seems to get the blame for their problems with the Euro. It follows that Greece is no longer a top holiday spot for German people. Who knows they may be inspired to return to their roots in Berlin where we first saw Nadine who may have been behind in the breast stakes, but as a fighter was fantastic.
It isn't often that a fight like this goes on this long.Often they are seperated by boyfriends or spectators before too much damage is done. It would have been interesting to see both girls faces at the end,I'm sure both would have been badly marked.
There is a school of thought that often girls are for one reason or another forced into fighting. The very last section here disproves that thought, though you can only guess what they were going home to do.
