It's a shame they couldn't be persuaded to take their fight into a ring.

A bout from Promi Boxen and Pro7 tv in Germany which went off with very little interest matched actress Nadja  Abd el Farrag from Hamburg and Tessa Bergmeier from Germany's next Top Model. Despite advice from Susi Kentikian it was obvious almost from the first bell that Nadja didn't really fancy a fight.

It may be from a softcore movie,but which one???

Not the best filming you're likely to see,but this is interesting because the Pleasure Lounge was one of those venues closed by Merseyside Council a few years back due to crime and violence.Though I don't think it refered to the girls. It would appear that from time to time there is a reunion for the people who frequented there.I wonder did these two fight a return.

It's often a reference made to the people of the Emerald Isle and in the case of Barbara Delaney it couldn't be truer,she really is the fighting Irish.  

When you see a girl take on a guy in a mixed bout the guy is as a rule some muscle bound hunk,or a wobbly tub of jelly. I have to give the promoters at CZW credit as Curt Robinson is not only a decent technician,but must also be somewhere near the weight class of Brittany Blake. Brittany is I am told a product of CZW's own school,a 5'2"one time model,24 years old,real name Jeanne Killjoy. You wouldn't have thought she needed a ring name with a name like that.

A girl who was always underated from Orig Williams Reslo stable in North Wales was Angel McManus seen here at her best against Klondyke Kate.

This was first noticed by our friend Nadine in Germany,it reminded her of a good friend who became part of the wrestling scene but started out in judo. Like the girl in the clip she would often get very warm and took to wearing only bra and pants under the suit which was frowned on by her instructers.This led directly to her involvement in wrestling,the type where fewer clothing restrictions applied!

A full episode of female action,starts with the usual first couple of minutes of guff and then a blank screen but picks up on the wrestling around the 4.30min mark.

Is this one of those venues where you put on the cheapest show possible because of spectator numbers? I'm a little baffled by Foxy Roxy who can't even bother to remove her "T SHIRT"and is that her mom filming at the ringside? Having tried to trace her progress in the game it would appear she only goes in the ring with guys.Do you know different?

I know there are fans out there who love these things.For me it hardly looks worth while.Weak punches and ham acting,why bother?

Another of my favourites where the girls aren't so experienced that they have mastered the arts of defence. As expected the blood starts to flow in the first minute and by the end it's difficult to tell if one or both girls are bleeding it's spread so far.

Things for fans in New Zealand are looking good as these two are barely out of the novice stage and are putting on a good show. Both girls are getting a fan following I'm told and Frankie Quinn was first taken on by the Hughes Academy of Wrestling in 2011.

I mentioned Bonnie Canino being a pioneer,but women boxing in the mid 90's being so rare sometimes records become confused and this could possibly be the case here. Boxrec records Bonnies first bout as being in January 96 with a first round TKO of April Griffith and yet this five rounder is from 95 and who was her opponent?

Many critics didn't rate this 1991 film which starred Liverpool's Margi Clarke as the girl who left home to find her father and became a pro boxer by chance. Margi doesn't seem to have a problem with being typecast having made a living playing tough scouse women many times.Indeed fans in the U.K.still see her from time to time in our longest running soap opera Coronation Street as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs mother,before that she also had a role in the Liverpool based soap Brookside.

I have never been the WWE's greatest fan and you realise why when fans point out to you that the lovely Gisela is now a WWE trialist after all of six months in the business.

Be it here in Oz or back then in the States Australia's Kellie Skater and Paige's mom the Sweet Saraya put on a top show,all action and no posing!!

In those dark days of the past when women boxing was almost unheard of a few women took the first steps,one was Bonnie Canino this short clip gives an insight into her career in and out of the ring.

Just odd times I get interesting info from fans for which I am always happy to acknowledge as often it sets me thinking on things I may have missed. So I have to thank the guy who reminded me that although Fighting Style filmed in Greece not many of the girls were Greek. That set me thinking about tho other outfits that were someway inter connected,even if only using the same site in Greece. The first that came to mind was the Female Wrestling Zone, one of whose latest offerings featured a slightly bigger girl in Lydiya seen here against Gabby. The same girl Lydiya featured against Victor for the Mixed Wrestling Zone. Meanwhile Mona features for the Dirty Wrestling Pit using some rather doubtful tactics,what was I thinking it is the Dirty Wrestling Pit? Last but not least is Sophia and Ana in the Sex Fighting Zone. All these seem to be operating in different venues in Europe and possibly farther afield.

Women boxing at all sorts of levels seems to be big business in Oz,but when did the interest start? I pose the question because Laura Saperstein seen here in this her last bout in 2010 was born in Australia and yet throughout her career would appear to have been London based. Her opponent Milena Koleva from Bulgaria is still around the scene and as been in with some pretty good company including going the distance with Ina Menzer. She is scheduled to fight for the Global Boxing Council Featherweight Title in November this year against an as yet un-named opponent in Berlin.

More action from Germany at Super Light Weight with Binto Schmill,born in Togo West Africa,now resident in Germany adding to her unbeaten run with another TKO. Her opponent Judit Suran is from Budapest in Hungary and would appear another of those mysteries from that part of the world.At 38 years old she as only fought three times,but made her debut aged 21 in 1998.Work that one out!!!

One for my friends Stateside,info on Tess Valentine please,Kaycee Carlisle is well known but the contender Tess is something of a mystery.

Greater Manchester Police are represented this time by Natalie Whalin,I wonder what she does there?Traffic,front desk,CID or just Plod?

You may find the idea of your wife/girl fighting a turn on,but remember she could be on the end of a bruising encounter. The other thing to remember is that if she really gets into the game there's every chance she wouldn't thank you for trying to stop a fight no matter what the damage.

I used to think Eastern Europe was the home of the girls who took up boxing beyond their youthful years.But the girls Stateside keep coming up with some odd stat's.Martha Salazar the victor here was in 2013 around 43 years old,but made her debut in 2001 and had a six year break before returning in 2013. Her opponent Sonya Lamonakis would have been around 37 having had around ten bouts since her debut in 2010

A good taster of the girls  who compete for Namazon in Russia,from the skinny girls you fear for to the solid and muscular.

Something I failed to notice of late was pointed out to me the other day,the guys behind this video seem to have gone from the scene. I did wonder if this is due to the fact that the economy in Greece is in a bit of a mess and some doubt as to wether they can remain in the Euro. Another of those strange titles that keep appearing,the Global Boxing Council Featherweight Title,Milena Koleva 27 years old from Bulgaria up against Aline de Cassia Scaranello a 26 year old from Brazil,although neither girl is very experienced the girl from Brazil brought with her a pretty good ko record.

I thought that I had been involved in one way or another with most of the girls from this era,but this bout left me a little baffled,I don't recognise the venue and just as important who was Spitfire?? A friend who viewed this seems to think the venue was Blackpool Tower Circus which he believes would have made the Promoter Bobby Baron.

I featured the other day the U.K.'s would be contender for this event,the novice Ashleigh Stark.You'd have to fear for her safety if she went in with veteran LuFisto.

The boxing world as always had a certain number of mysteries,but how Jolene Blackshear came to have a title bout at the age of 45 still baffles me.And how in a career that started in 1995 did she come to have a nine year break before returning to the ring for a couple of bouts then not appearing again until 2012 and then having seven bouts including this one. Almost as baffling is how her opponent born in Mexico takes on the mantle of a Native American?

Remember these?A few years back they were fights for charity,before the advent of white/pink collar boxing.

Reports from the recent Fighting Dolls Spring Event suggest a great time was had by all. By way of a change a few pics of the girls in their finest gear,starting with Isabel who I am told came from Spain.The group of three are Susan,Sharon and Michelle and last but not least comes Zamara and a great favourite from the DWW time and still looking good Edita.

I often think we have some strange matchmaking here in Europe,but this from Mexico on paper looks a non starter Miss Gonzalez on her debut against the experienced Miss Juarez. In this case I was wrong,Miss Gonzalez despite losing looks a prospect.

Small wonder that the women's game gets a bad name at times when you see the likes of Miss Ankrah get in the ring with her belly hanging over her shorts. By contrast Nikki Adler looked every bit a trim boxer.

Am I being unfair in my assessment of Ashleigh's talents,little above amateur level,with a lot to learn!! She is promoted by the Falling Star Wrestling Accademy and is seen here in action against Sienna Black,having watched it her dreams of the WWE are pie in the sky!!! Apparently Ashleigh is an eighteen years old College of West Anglia Student from Thetford studying performing arts,no surprise there then. Apparently her short application video we viewed yesterday got 19,000 views. Interestingly the U.K.s top female export Paige comes from the same area,but grew up in the family business with father,mother,brother's and I believe at one time her sister all wrestling and even when she was some years younger than Ashleigh could put on a much better show!!

The quality of filming varies,but in among there are some pretty good fights.

The U.S.had soccer mom take up M.M.A.in the belief she could be a star,which she became,but not in the way she intended. Now the U.K.as a wannabe in the wrestling world,watch this space!!!

Sometimes a girl can be a little too brave,Katie Castro here as become an internet sensation for all the wrong reasons. Described as a"soccer mom"she went into the cage with no training,or experience and the result is here to be seen.

Christmas action from the Bury Castle Leisure Center in Lancashire with two really tough girls.

Is there a position girls can get into that pleases you the most.Talking to a girl who had taken part in a number of these catfight style matches she mentioned that her man loved her to get in a position where her thighs and her opponents were interlocked as he found it a real turn on.

I doubt that anywhere outside what was Eastern Europe could have produced so many willing participants for DWW to work with. You can only imagine the outcry if a teacher at a local school were to be found wrestling topless,because that apparently is what Simona did for a living and that beside being fairly unique in being a married woman. Sadly very little info was ever made available about her opponent Renate K.

Surprise how quick they move up the rankings,a mere couple of fights after this Nina Stojanovic from Serbia took the WBF,WIBF and GBU Super Featherweight Titles from Eva Voraberger in a ten rounder in Austria.

Another of my mystery's,was this a film at the cinema?Or was it made for tv? Starring as Drucilla is 3 times Accademy Award Winner Debra Winger and any number of busty tribeswomen.

I have mentioned more than once the quality of some of the boxers who are coming from the former Eastern European states.Many arrive with records of wins,but often fail to produce the goods. One who went in for yet another defeat in Germany last year was Gabriella Roman a 31 year old from Hungary who as only won four of eighteen contests,mostly in Hungary apart from the one here in Poland and a notable loss in London to a girl on debut. Her opponent here is Karina Kopinska a much traveled Polish girl whose last outing was in Canada. I can't help thinking that promoters believe every thing they are told by girls management,for if they were to watch the girls perform on their home turf it's highly unlikely they would even give them the bus fare.

An interesting insight into the intergender scene,where it isn't just that pretty little girl taking on that big fat bloke with with the well evident stiffy.Here you can see some of the punishment the girls take. Like one of the girls says,how long would one of those posers from the WWE last in this game.

I couldn't help but think at this point the girl with those tat's as started to enjoy this position.

When you view this fight you think Miss Sikmashvili is out of her depth despite looking to have good record of seven wins. Probably the reason for her woeful performance was that in order to make the fight she had to lose a great deal of weight,after the weigh in. Small wonder that Sweden's Maria Lindberg looked a class apart.  Let's hope the next time Elene's management put her in the ring she is in better condition.
