THEY CAME TO MANCHESTER.
Fans in the U.K.missed out if they didn't visit Manchester when this took place,two of Danube Women' s finest in action with one of Manchester's finest pro wrestlers.
BIG GIRLS.
Many of the girls taking part in these bouts are often of varied sizes,hardly making for a fair fight. By contrast these two are both in the heavy weight class and though they may not be the best lookers they certainly give and take some punishment.
AN INTERESTING LADY.
Many fans of the female boxing scene outside the U.K.will probably have never heard of Angel McKenzie a former contestant in Big Brother 10 the popular tv series(so good I haven't seen one episode). Born in Russia where apparently she was a pop star,she moved to the U.K.some years ago and is now resident in South London. Over the last few years she as fought a number of boxing bouts and as now been granted a World Title shot thanks to her one time opponent Mikeala Lauren backing out.So early in October(4.10.2013) she will meet Jennifer Retzke from Berlin for the Global Boxing Council Welterweight Title at the York Hall,Bethnal Green,East London. Two interesting facts are that the bout seen here was the first of female boxing to be featured on ITV and also that Angel is now a very fit 40 years old.
THE ANSWER??
These girls seem only too happy to get in the ring to please their men,so why don't they strip off instead of the fiasco of having to readjust clothing.
AN UPDATE.
During my recent visit to Germany I met up with a friend whose wife wrestled some years back.He remembered well bouts with girls from the U.K.brought to Germany by top wrestler and promoter Orig Williams from Wales.Two who stood out in his memory were Rusty Blair and her opponent here Angel McManus.He did wonder what had become of them?I am told that Rusty is still resident around Rhyl in North Wales,while Angel was last heard of around the Manchester area.
