AM I RIGHT?
A question that often arises when female combat is mentioned is do the girls only do it for the money?Or do they carry on after getting married and having children?Possibly this clip may provide some of the answer.
The clip I think is from the wrestling convention in the US,but take a look at the girls,surely at least one as been seen before working for Video Sports when she was a little younger.
Answer to the 1st question:
ReplyDeleteSome probably do but many (maybe a lot more than you'd think) absolutely do it first for the enjoyment, benfits of healthy exercise and friendship (which I'm sure as hell glad for that !) and, if the money follows, then that's good, too.
Answer to the 2nd question:
Absolutely yes (whether children happen to follow or not).
I have so much admiration for Grace, River and all the women who've participated in the past Women's Wrestling Conventions I can't even begin to describe it all here. Suffice it to say that, yes, I think they've been involved with Video Sports Ltd. before and Helen von Mott's enterprises (Virago and at least one other, I think) but they're still good as gold and will be no matter when or what, imho.
Can't tell you how much I hate seeing knee pads on a girl wrestling ... as bad as seeing them wearing shoes.
ReplyDeleteEven when a favorite like Robin wrestles wearing knee pads/braces, I won't even watch.
I can't blame anyone for wearing kneepads or elbowpads.
ReplyDeleteDude, it's just a small piece of cushioned covering for joint protection and, unlike shoes, doesn't nearly inhibit any " esthetic " appearance.
What could possibly be wrong with that ? ...
