A TOUGH INTERNATIONAL.
From I believe the Womens Wrestling Convention in the States a well matched bout between Elena who I believe came from the Black Sea Amazons and Helen representing an unknown Stateside out fit.And who is the official in the ring?Our old friend Jeff the Ref.
This was a classic match. Elena was / is a world-ranked boxer and kickboxer and Helen Von Mott is top-ranked in BJJ. They fought using grappling rules (no punching / kicking) - Elena still did well (It must have hurt her to have to submit though!)
ReplyDeleteHelen and Josephine were really obnoxious at this convention, shouting step-by -step instructions to each other like it was a instructional video;

Occasional advice would have been OK but it was constant throughout their matches, ruining it for the viewer. I also remember a controversy with DWW when they used choke hold when DWW wasn't.
Looking back I think at this point in time Virago took themselves a little too seriously at this convention rather than treating it as a rare, fun get together of the producers, wrestlers and fans.
The rest of this convention was very good.
