SUSAN STRONG BOXING

was a terrific wrestler but not too talented in the boxing ring and like here often took a beating what is a surprise here is that she was persuaded to carry on proving her bravery.Her opponent was Angela H
who I think only appeared a couple of times but certainly came to fight.
I was present at this event and you are right Susan took a hell of a beating. She was so brave to carry on after taking so many punches to the face, she even managed to put Angela down at one stage. The great thing about Susan was that she would take on anyone in any style of fight. She had some great victories, but many more defeats. Sherry, Pat and another english woman kod her at boxing and Maggie, Lisa Marie and again Sherry seemed to take a delight in making her submit when wrestling. After this match Susan was in shock and could not participate in the rest of the event. I am not sure if it was later that evening or the next day when she was taken to hospital and diagnosed with a broken jaw. She did not like Angela and never forgave her for what she did to her. This would have finished many fighters career, not Susan, she came back and fought many more times. A great woman and trooper.
