SOME ONE ENLIGHTEN ME!!!

I have mentioned a number of times how much fans here in the UK miss the live shows put on by Festelle and others and more than once I have been advised that with all the laws relating to health and safety,insurance and the like,such show are no longer a proposition.

So I am a little bemused to see the kind of show featured here taking place in the States where we are told the compensation culture came from.So,someone please enlighten me,is it a case like many laws made up by the EU of lets just ignore it?Or are there an army of government officials going round daily doing risk assessment at lots of underground venues where these bouts are taking place.
