WHAT'S THE HISTORY?
A fan recently asked about the history of of the Black Sea Amazons.I have to admit to having no idea and so far I have not been able to meet or even be in touch with anyone who can help. One of the most obvious authorities would be our old friend "Jeff the Ref",seen here doing his job.Sadly for one reason or another he seems to have departed the scene.
So we are left with pure imagination and guess work as to the girls and their backgrounds.Viewing these two fights one can only ask did the girls have husbands,or men in their lives? And were they paid a thick wedge of cash for their efforts as they deserved every last bean, just look at the marked faces of Sveta M who took part in both bouts and her opponents Olga K and Ira R.In particular the bout against Ira whose punches were almost frantic in the effort to gain a win.
I can see why the BSA has been discontinued. Anyone involved with that sort of female combat 'entertainment' could have been arrested if anyone was seriously hurt. You can see why that isn't too much a stretch to imagine that happening.
ReplyDeleteGive me Foxy Combat, the DWW wrestling/catfights, Trib Girls. Premier Productions, We Bring It or even the silly fantasy stuff like the Jenz-type stuff over this stuff any day.
I guess if you were purely into the sport of serious fighting and wanted the female version of MMA/UFC and are into broken noses, jaws, and teeth, the BSA was right up your alley.
Though I never heard of any serious injuries it would be hard to believe they didn't happen with brutal fighting like this and that might be the reason it's gone. It also might have been because they just ran out of girls that were nuts or that the people promoting it finally came to their senses.... possibly both.
That's my opinion on it ... it's just not my thing.
I hate to see women 'really' getting beat up - even by each other LOL ;)
the owner of DWW said in a fan blog
ReplyDeletethat is was to expensive and he did not
earn enogh money for the fights, because of
copying.
so he stopped it
I sort of agree with the thoughts of Anonymous above regarding the brutality of the contests but, as long as the action was completely consensual as far as the girls were concerned, these are good examples of brave girls fighting to the extreme. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 2.
Ah. Bless. He hasn't responded. He feels that girls who want uninhibited fights, and those who like to watch, are 'nuts'. Ah well. To each his own. But I'm glad I'm not as narrow minded as him.

Another thing about these BSA fights ;
ReplyDeleteThese girls know how to punch and grapple to hurt which is obvious in the one fight shown here. I've seen others by BSA that were even rougher that the above examples.
Does anyone know if 'Jef the Ref' was actually trained as a referee for such serious, no bullshit fighting as BSA ??
When he was asked on another board many years ago how he got so lucky to land the "job" of refereeing countless female wrestling bouts, his reply was that he got the position because he was so small he didn't get in the way, LOL.
Maybe that would suffice for the typical, topless wrestling matches but that wouldn't be the credentials required to safely over see such nasty , hard-core fighting like this :>/
Thoughts ?
