This time of the year is not always the best for some people and some may even miss their daily dose of my thoughts so just to keep them going until I return in the New Year. One of the fans on the forum came up with a few pics from that popular website of some years back Oilwrestlers,the girls wrestled eachother in oil and for the finale guys in the bar were invited to strip off and join them. Oh such fun!!!

I have to admit to this one being a bit of a baffler,Tanya I believe is Tanya Lockhart of Nottingham and at first the name that came mind was Rachel Brookes for Rachael,but I was obviously wrong that Rachel is a heavily tatooed Liverpudlian. So come on fans put me right!!

The lovely slim Dakota Ditcheva is the teenage daughter of former champion Lisa Howarth seen here in her corner,Lisa now leads the Northern Spirit Club in Sale,Cheshire,Dakota's teenage opponent is highly rated Becky Caslin from Liverpool. It's hard to believe the power in both of these young ladies slim bodies.

If you love a real tear up get down Essex way,this is action from the Liquid Night Club,Colchester,the bout as non of the science of boxing and neither girl appears to have heard of defence.But you have to give credit to both girls for their fitness as I'm told that Jo Millar is in her mid 40's and without being insulting her opponent Paula Donnely is definitely not a teenager.

From the mid eighties to the mid nineties one of the few girls taking part in the Martial Arts scene was Lisa Howarth who trained at Master Toddy's in Manchester. Lisa was in fact the inspiration to many of today's girls including her own daughter,more of which later,watch this space!!

Action earlier this year from Oslo,Norway when crowd favourite Miss Mina lost the Nordic Women's Wrestling Title to Norfolk girl Sammi Baynz. Not for the first time I believe Miss Mina retired after a final bout in Oslo on the 26th of September when she lost to Natasja sometimes known as Maiken and born in Mina's hometown of Fredrikstadt.

Scotland being the newest hotbed for wrestling the championship belt business is booming.This time it's Leah Owens the W3L Champion from Belfast taking on Kirsty Love from Glasgow. For fans at a loose end over Christmas,W3L have an afternoon show at the Pettycur Bay Holiday Park,Kinghom,Fife on the 27th of December.                        

Having mentioned Amazons in Action a number of times and shown a number of front covers from the mag,I have often been asked about it's content. So my thanks go to a number of contributer's to the forum who have manged to dig out a few old copies of this and other fan favourites. The first of these also serves as almost a history of Festelle Video and is the thoughts of Phil Ryder about many of the people and places involved in Festelle's heyday.

Action from last weeks Xmas Bash of the Swindon Fight Club,Penny Murby who we have seen before goes toe to toe with debut girl Sarah Morris. A good contest between two girls who look the part and are in there to fight.

This is one where you would ask was the ref quick enough,the loser was turning her back on punches very early in the fight.

If a boy of a certain age comes into contact with a girl of a similar age as in a wrestling match,don't things occur that he as little or no control over? I can only think that the boys in Hungary are either more pure of mind than those in other parts of the world,or possibly they are given a regular dose of the stuff which governments were reputed to have given their armed forces to conserve their energy for the coming battle. BROMIDE!!!

After seeing this I wonder what crazy theme(Home Wreckers Match) a promoter could come up with next.

I think it started with Jerry Springer,but now it would appear to be almost world wide. So why bother with the playing away men folk?Let's just put up a ring and let them fight,the girls want it,the audience definitely want it,so why bother with a reason for it?

From Celtic Championship Wrestling a familiar name in the Irish Republic,started about three years ago by Lee Cahalane with the intention of putting on regular topline shows. Opinion in the Republic is divided with many thinking he as gone too far down WWE road with the play acting and fooling around. On her debut for CCW is Katey Harvey from Bray in Co.Whicklow and after a great deal of the WWE stuff that fans in Europe don't like she gets round to wrestling opponent Kazza G,in real life Karen Glennon from Dublin and even then the bout ends with more WWE nonsense. Made even worse by not being very well done,I rest my case!!!

These two are novice class and a long way from being fit,but the result is in doubt till they are exhausted and the blood flows.

This is Fire of The London Wrestling Studio another contender in the body art stakes.

On paper at least this would seem a fair match 21 years old Gabriella from Romania with seven outings against the 34 years old local girl from Amsterdam Jessica Belder who despite the age difference had only had three bouts prior to this. Possibly the biggest shock was the way Miss Mezei refused to come out for the 4th and appearing to quit in tears.

A pro debut for 24 years old Mistery Neal in this four rounder against the more experienced Nikki Burleson 9 years her senior at 33 years old.

There can be no denying this guy as got real red blood pulsing through his body,nice to see as I have often thought the guys taking part in these mixed bouts must be gay. How else could a guy come into such close contact with the lovely Antscha without this kind of reaction?

I don't know about a new beginning,this looks like it could have been the a sad ending for a rather out of condition Jolene Breslin making her debut.  

It's the lovely young Miss Miles again this time against another of those mystery Mexicans,really any stooge with a few words of Spanish who can make a young lady look good without getting a stiffy on!!

Have I got that the lovely Maddison is 15 years old?Is she from a wrestling family? She looks the part against Kaitlin Diemond who is ten years her senior and mixed matches too.I can't help thinking though if she were a resident of the U.K.the authorities would be coming calling with child protection officers and the like.

In many ways the semi pro scene is proving to be the most exciting in the female boxing world,without being hampered by the regulation crash hats of the amateur game,the girls come to fight.

Laura Killen makes her second appearance as a semi pro at the Oceana Night Club,Plymouth against Exeter's Jenna Maddicks. I have to admit to knowing little or nothing of Jenna,but I'm told Laura as been around boxing gyms for around ten years,though she as only been inside the ropes in the last couple of years.

This kind of bout is a similar thing to our white/pink collar boxing in the U.K. The show is promoted by personal trainer Willie Braun at the Walkabout a billiards/snooker hall and entertainment complex featuring everything from boxing to pop bands in Essen in Germany. This particular show featured 11 contests and was watched by 350 spectators. Looking at the price list for food and drinks the next time I'm in that part of the world I could easily be a visitor.
