JUST A THOUGHT 109.

HOW IT WAS??
During the three months locked away with my ex we watched a show about the early origins of street fighting going back to the mid eighteen hundreds where both men and women fought.
This reminded my ex of a time far more recent and nearer to home, like many women at the time her mother worked in a Lancashire cotton mill where probably due to the large numbers employed at the time disagreements often happened and these would be settled in the mill yard at lunch time.
She recalled more than once her mum came home with a bruised face and torn clothes, she was also of the opinion that her dad became quite aroused by this because he was alway's very attentive when she came home and more than once she heard him mention that she should invite her opponent round and they could fight a return.
Wether that ever happened she doesn't know but it was around the time that a number of women wrestlers were being featured in promotions and my ex as often wondered did dad ever try to get mum to give it a go as they went to a number of shows where
Mitzi Mueller
and the late
Paula Valdez
appeared.

IT DON'T WORK!!
First weekend of bars and pubs being open here in the UK passed last weekend, did it work?NO!!!
On Saturday with my ex and her girlfriend we went for a beer expecting to have to conform to the new rules.MISTAKE!!The door at one of a popular chain of pubs was manned by a duty manager,we did our hands and were given a table and one of us was allowed to go to the bar,for most of the night things were quite civilised till around 10pm when a group of around eight young base ball capped idiots came in,they were not challenged and went and sat at a table ordered beer on their i phones only to be joined by three very drunk girls and we had an hour of shouting and shrieking before they moved on,the duty manager obviously didn't fancy his chances at imposing the rules and stood back and did nothing.

I was reminded of a conversation I had a few days before when I had the owner of a couple of bars on the phone looking for advice as to the level of security he would need when reopening.I have little to do with the business now apart from helping friends but I had to advise that a top level of security would be needed for just such incidents as we had just witnessed, one of my teams would have dealt with the idiots by demanding proof of age for starters and the minute they disobeyed the rules they would have been turned out.
